Another year to celebrate art and Atlanta’s pool of talented artists!

The Decatur Arts Festival will once again spruce up Downtown Decatur from May 5-7, 2023! Featuring a multi-day lineup of live music, dance, comedy, and theatrical performances, as well as a kids' festival, exhibitions, and a large and diverse artists' market, it’s something your whole family can enjoy!

Kickstart the festival with the ArtWalk on May 5. It’s a single-night, city-wide art experience, where you can enjoy music on the square as you walk between ArtSpots, which are local businesses that host free art receptions with light refreshments. Businesses and artists on the ArtSpot that will grace the ArtWalk include:

• Core Dance 
• Different Trains Gallery 
• Decatur Library 
• Farm Burger Decatur 
• HomeGrown Decatur
• Little Shop of Stories

The next days, May 6 and 7, are reserved for the Artists Market, where you can see the diverse work of 120 artists; the juried, outdoor market features offerings from all over the Southeast, including local creatives. The annual Artists Market is well-known for the high quality of its artwork and attracts artists from throughout the Southeast and beyond. Ceramics, jewelry, 2D and 3D works, watercolor, woodwork, photography, paintings, and more by local and visiting artists are on display.

If you plan to bring your kids to experience this fun weekend, there’s a Kids’ Fest on May 6, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Decatur Rec. In this area, your kids can enjoy and play around inflatables, or they can also let out their creative flair with the arts and crafts activities offered there.

Fancy a bite, especially after walking around the Artists Market? You can eat at one of our onsite food and beverage vendors or dine at one of our local restaurants! The entire festival is housed within Decatur's open container entertainment zone, allowing you to take your cocktail or beer to go while strolling through the market.
