Oktoberfest Atlanta

With Oktoberfest coming soon, the town is again alight with the thought of beer and fun. But really, what makes everyone look forward to it? Let us tackle it below.

Despite being an annual event to look forward to in Atlanta, Oktoberfest began in Germany. More than 200 years ago, Bavaria's Crown Prince Ludwig wed Princess Therese of Saxony-Hildburghausen, and this union marked the beginning of Oktoberfest. There were several days of drinking, feasting, and horse racing to commemorate the wedding.

The world has since adapted this tradition, sans horse racing & wedding feasts. Now hailed as Atlanta’s biggest German-themed party, Oktoberfest is back from September 30 to October 2 at the Historic Fourth Ward Skatepark!

Enjoy a wide selection of craft beer, delightfully cold German beers, German cuisine, live music, and a ton of games and activities!

There’s an exciting lineup for the music shows. Johnny Koenig, Lynn Marie, Gluckliches Trio, Alpine Doc, and Dj One Nate are taking over the stage and filling the park with fantastic music!

Plus, there are exciting activities you can join in! There will be keg rolling, dog parade, pretzel toss, brawt toss, ceremonial keg tapping (stay tuned for the celebrity keg tapper!)and stein hoisting!

Oktoberfest passes are now on sale, so get yours now before you miss your shot. Head over to https://www.oktoberfestatl.com/home for tickets and more information.
