2022 Peach Bowl

College is indeed the most eventful time in everyone's life. But if there's anything that will hype it up even more, it would be college bowls! It goes beyond winning because the experience of joining or witnessing the game is top-tier. Now that the Peach Bowl is back for another play, the holiday season just got more festive.

Atlanta's ninth oldest college football game is slated to take place at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia, on December 31, 2022. Two of the four teams chosen by the College Football Playoff Selection Committee will compete in the 55th annual Peach Bowl, one of the two College Football Playoff semifinals. It will wrap up the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) games for 2022 and will be broadcast on ESPN as it starts at either 4:00, 5:00, or 8:00 p.m. It will officially be named the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl, as it will be sponsored by the fast food giant.

Georgia Bulldogs, the number 1 in the game, will take on number 4 Ohio State Buckeyes and compete for the semifinals. In their prior meeting in the 1993 Citrus Bowl, Georgia defeated Ohio State by a score of 21–14, so everyone is undoubtedly excited to see how the games will turn out!

The event is like a deja vu, given that the Peach Bowl had its best TV ratings ever back on December 31, 2012 - exactly a decade before this year's game! It averaged 557,000 in viewership and became ESPN's most-watched non-championship bowl game. Clemson defeated LSU on New Year's Eve in a close 25-24 triumph. Who do you think would win in this game? We are just as excited to find out!
