New name, same rocking event!

HBCU All-Star Battle of the Bands, the original battle of the bands, is back in Atlanta! This year, it will kick off Black History Month with six of the country’s top HBCU marching bands, plus special performances by two of Atlanta’s best high school marching bands for the first time ever!

The bands performing at the event will be: 

• Alabama State University’s Mighty Marching Hornets
• Bethune-Cookman University’s Marching Wildcats
• North Carolina A&T State University’s Blue & Gold Marching Machine
• Norfolk State University’s Marching Spartan Legion
• South Carolina State University’s The Marching 101
• Tennessee State University’s Aristocrat of Bands
• Pebblebrook High School’s Mighty Marching Machine
• Westlake High School’sThe Mighty Marching Lions

The All-Star Battle of the Bands was founded in 2002 to showcase the talents of the country’s top Historically Black Colleges and Universities, entertain audiences of all ages, and provide scholarships to the HBCU music community. It is the state’s largest marching band and dance team exhibition for Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).

This year’s fun-filled event will happen on February 4, 2023, at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium. You can purchase individual tickets or group tickets, depending on who you’re spending the day with.
