Five years of celebrating homegrown talents, only here at the Ormewood Park Makers Festival!
Situated in Southeast Atlanta, between the historic Grant Park and East Atlanta Village, Ormewood Park is best known for its friendly and attractive neighborhood. Now, it shines even brighter as it once again opens its doors for the Ormewood Park Makers Festival, presented by SAND, on May 20, 2023!
The festival celebrates and highlights the local makers and homegrown artists in the area while also providing a healthy and open forum wherein the entire community can learn and participate through workshops and classes. At the Makers Festival, everyone is a maker – be it handmade fashion and jewelry, to woodworking and blacksmithing, photography and fine art, to food and music, there are opportunities for you. All you have to bring is your skill and clever hands!
Participants will also have the chance to display their work and demonstrate how they make it through displays, demonstrations, workshops, and hands-on activities. Innovators, creators, and designers, as well as crafters, educators, tinkerers, food artisans, hobbyists, engineers, and artists, will be honored at the festival, too. It’s essentially a hybrid event of an arts festival, a craft fair, and something entirely new!
Aside from that, people can also enjoy live music from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM to spruce up the day and add a groove as you learn and create your own pieces. You can also stop by the artist market to bring home a souvenir or two, and grab a quick bite from the food and beverage vendors that are all within walking distance of the activities.
