It may seem far-fetched to other people, but owning a pet really changes the course of your life. They can take away your loneliness with their company, and aside from that, having a pet by your side has many health benefits. For one, pets encourage you to play, walk, run, exercise, or socialize outside your home. Doing these regularly can lower blood pressure, cholesterol, and triglyceride levels. 

But we're not here to back the science that convinces you to get a pet ASAP. Instead, we're here to invite you for a fun day with your fur babies! 

The Rescue Dog Games is a special event for dogs and their beloved owners. It highlights the importance of pet adoption and allows people and dogs to play outside in the crisp autumn air. 

Every year, they hold games, pet competitions, and other entertainment to make this a memorable day for fur parents and babies alike. This year's festival will be held on October 22, 2022, at Piedmont Park, from 11:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. 

This is a perfect opportunity for your beloved pets to play with fellow dogs. There are tons of dog play areas, an interactive dog art project (what a memorable souvenir that would make!), photo booths, Frisbee Disc Shows, and contests such as Lure Chase! 

Of course, humans also get a chance to have fun. There will be food and beer trucks - but it's strictly for human consumption, okay? You can also sit at the coaching and shows presented throughout the day. 

There will also be the Dog Howl-O-Ween Costume Contest starting at noon. This is an excellent opportunity to dress up your pets; who knows, you might go home with prizes and treats for your fur baby? 

Just a few reminders before heading off to the park:

Remember to put your dog on a leash at all times. And since this event is free, you only have to register through Eventbrite.

You will also be required to wear a face mask at the event. After all, this is to ensure everyone's safety.
