Spring Festival on Ponce

There’s no tighter cultural bond than arts, and that’s exactly what the Spring Festival on Ponce celebrates!

The Spring Festival on Ponce is a two-day outdoor local art and crafts event set for April 1-2, 2023 at the Olmsted linear Parks along Ponce de Leon Ave., Atlanta's main thoroughfare. Visitors will be able to enjoy the stunning landscape designed by one of America's most celebrated landscape architects, Frederick Olmsted Sr., as well as over 125 displays of fine arts and crafts, folk and "outsider art." Aside from the fine arts, there will be a children's area as well as local food and beverage. Attendance to the Festival on Ponce is free, so just bring your friends and family and revel in the wonderful arts and crafts!

The festival's artists will feature a wide range of works, including pottery, jewelry, fine art and paintings, woodwork, glassware, metal, fiber, and photography prints, among other handmade items, fine vintage pieces, and baked goods. Acoustic music from local musicians will also fill the air, creating a relaxing atmosphere as visitors explore the festival's markets.

Food vendors are bringing the flavor with treats ranging from festival classics like funnel cake and grilled goodies to healthier options for the health-conscious festival-goer. All visitors can enjoy non-alcoholic refreshments, while guests 21 and up can enjoy many of the wine and beer selections.

To protect these historic parks, the Olmsted Linear Park Alliance completed a $10 million capital improvement plan. These lovely parks have lovely trees and paths, as well as excellent visibility from one of Atlanta's main traffic arteries connecting Atlanta and Decatur.

A portion of the proceeds from this festival will go to the Georgia Foundation for Public Spaces, a 501(c)(3) organization that helps artists in need. As part of the fundraising efforts for the Georgia Foundation for Public Spaces, a non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening the arts community. The GFPS offers artist scholarships to help them further their artistic careers. Funding will also be provided to Georgia Lawyers for the Arts.
