The most wonderful season is here, and it's the best excuse to shop!
After a long time of being contained in our homes, holiday shopping is back and better than ever. A 2022 McKinsey report supports this, wherein more than half of those polled are eager or excited for the holiday shopping season, up from about one-third last year. So now that everybody's holiday spirits are up, it's time to stop by the Decatur Holiday Marketplace!
The Decatur Holiday Marketplace, now in its 31st year, will be held in person at Clairemont Elementary School at 155 Erie Avenue on December 9-10, 2022. The school will magically transform into a welcoming artists' market with delicious food and a festive atmosphere.
Returning and new artisans and makers will sell their one-of-a-kind handmade items such as paintings, glass art, jewelry, pottery, gourmet food items, and much more.
Unfortunately, their dessert and soup Café will be closed due to COVID restrictions. But there will be professional food vendors and trucks to keep you fueled for shopping, along with their usual live music performances!
You can also participate in the event by sending your memoirs from the last years. You can share your pictures, videos, and any memories to their email, DecaturHolidaymarketplace@gmail.com.
Proceeds from the event will go to Clairemont Elementary School's educational programs.
