Wine + Culture Fest, happening from July 23-30, 2023, is the most inclusive wine festival dedicated to consumer education, brand awareness, industry advancement, and cultural experiences through a Black lens. Presented by The Hue Society, economic inclusion and recognition by providing a safe space for our community to learn and share experiences.

This event is a great opportunity to have interactive sessions with industry experts, tastings of fan favorites and rare selections, and premier social events that bring the entire industry together. You’ll also get the one-of-a-kind opportunity with educational demonstrations and technology that will immerse you in stunning vineyard backdrops and selfie opportunities. Of course, there will be tour installations from the best favorite vineyards all over the world, which you can enjoy along with Instagrammable backdrops, food, and, of course, incredible wine!

The Wine + Culture Festival will take place over two days at Atlanta's historic Underground Atlanta, which has been the home and starting point for many black-owned businesses over the years, as well as a place of diverse fun and excitement for the city and its visitors from all over the world. 

This year’s Wine + Culture Fest is also paying homage to Emily Meggett, the esteemed Matriarch of Gullah Geechee Cuisine, for her unwavering dedication to the culinary world. Her extraordinary accomplishments include becoming one of America's most influential Gullah Geechee cooks without the use of precise measurements or recipes. She also captivated readers with her New York Times Bestselling book, "Gullah Geechee Home Cooking: Recipes From the Matriarch of Edisto Island." 

In honor of Ms. Meggett's extraordinary legacy, the Wine + Culture Fest's Legendary Chef Award will be renamed after her. The award will be presented at the upcoming Roses & Rosè Awards Brunch on July 30th at 11 a.m. in Atlanta. Come celebrate culinary and wine excellence with us at the Thompson Hotel.
